Cambridge Health Alliance is an Acute Stroke Center that provides rapid, evidence-based stroke care for patients presenting with stroke symptoms.

After arriving to a Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) Emergency Room a quick evaluation of stroke symptoms and CT scan are performed. CHA then partners with stroke specialists at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center to determine the best treatment options, including medication or advanced procedures when needed. Patients who require specialized care are transferred right away, while others continue receiving stroke treatment, rehabilitation, and follow-up care at CHA. After discharge, patients continue outpatient care with CHA Neurology and other specialists to support recovery and help prevent future strokes.
